All walks of life in Hong Kong highly value CAEXPO. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), as a supporting unit of CAEXPO, has represented Hong Kong as an exhibitor for 22 consecutive years and has organized enterprises to participate in the expo. In 2015, Hong Kong served as the "City of Charm" for China at the 12th CAEXPO, showcasing to the world its unique advantages and city appeal as an international shipping center, international financial center, and international trade center.

At the 22nd CAEXPO, the HKTDC set up a Hong Kong Pavilion under the theme "Hong Kong Gateway, Connecting Globally." The pavilion showcased award-winning designs by Hong Kong designers in international competitions, covering areas such as technological innovation, cultural creativity, and green sustainable development. By combining exhibits displays with design stories, the pavilion vividly illustrated how Hong Kong empowers product value through diverse creativity, helping enterprises precisely connect with international consumer markets. In a media interview, Dennis Wong, HKTDC's Principal Representative for South China, said that Hong Kong will continue to leverage its unique advantages as a "super-connector," using CAEXPO as a fulcrum to foster deeper cooperation with Guangxi in areas like technological innovation and cultural creativity. Together, they aim to seize the historical opportunities presented by the construction of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area Version 3.0 and jointly explore the new frontiers of the digital economy and green economy in the ASEAN region.

The concurrently held "Hong Kong-Guangxi-RCEP Networking Reception" built a solid bridge for multi-party connectivity, promoting closer ties among Guangxi, Hong Kong, ASEAN, and RCEP member states in economic and trade cooperation, resource matching, and market expansion. Riding the momentum of CAEXPO, Hong Kong's exports to ASEAN economies grew in 2025. At the reception, Guangxi Radio and Television Station and Radio Television Hong Kong officially signed a cooperation memorandum, injecting cultural vitality into the construction of the "One District, Two Hubs, One Park, One Corridor" initiative. Using media cooperation as a bond, they aim to build a bridge for regional cultural exchange and jointly tell China's story well.
As a supporting chamber of commerce for CAEXPO, the Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance actively participated in the 22nd CAEXPO. It organized numerous member companies to exhibit, showcasing new technologies and products in fields like artificial intelligence, the digital economy, and intelligent manufacturing—including full-size robots with 5G IoT connectivity, quadruped robotic dogs, intelligent water treatment equipment, and digital human terminals for global business. It also brought intangible cultural heritage products to the expo. Concurrently, the Alliance organized over a hundred enterprises to source at the expo and actively participate in various investment promotion activities, striving to help Hong Kong and Macao enterprises use Guangxi as a strategic base to deepen multifield exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN and expand into the ASEAN market.
Looking back, Guangxi and Hong Kong, on the CAEXPO stage, complemented each other's strengths and demonstrated vibrant dynamism, continuously achieving positive results in their cooperation. Looking ahead, preparations for the 23rd CAEXPO are already underway in earnest. This edition of the expo will continue to seize the opportunities presented by AI development, featuring AI applications as a highlight. By combining Hong Kong's R&D strength in AI with Guangxi's abundant AI application scenarios, the expo aims to promote the implementation of AI applications in ASEAN, explore new potential in the exhibition economy under the "Guangxi-Hong Kong Plus ASEAN" model, share new opportunities from the China-ASEAN FTA 3.0, and serve the building of a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
