Exhibition-CAEXPO Cultural Tourism Zone is located in Qingxiu District, Nanning. Covering an area of about 41 hectares, it borders Minzu Avenue (the city’s main thoroughfare) to the north, nears the Ocean International Shopping Mall; adjoins the ASEAN Business District and Nanning Shimen Forest Park to the east; faces the city’s express ring road and overlooks Mingehu (a large urban waterfront park) to the west; and backs onto Qingxiu Mountain Scenic Area. Since 2004, it has been the permanent venue for the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO). By 2026, it had successfully hosted over 10,000 exhibitions and conferences, with a total visitor reception of more than 80 million.
Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center features an ingenious and exquisite architectural design. Constructed against the mountain, it boasts a grand and imposing momentum, standing as a famous landmark of Nanning. It is mainly composed of the following sections:
Zone A – Welcome Plaza, (East Wing) Registration Hall, Nanning Convention & Exhibition Animation City, City Study and CAEXPO Premium Products Exhibition & Sales Center;
Zone B (East Wing) – Golden Osmanthus Hall, Press Center and exhibition halls;
Zone C (Flank) – Administrative Complex Building, One-stop Service Center and slow traffic system;
Zone D (Front Wing) – exhibition halls and Conference Center;
Zone E (Middle Wing) – exhibition halls and Sports Hub;
Zone F (Tail Wing) – Convention & Exhibition Tower and Nanning Convention & Exhibition Howard Johnson Hotel;
Zone G (Tail Wing) – Convention Mountain Commercial Center.
Among its facilities, there are two large multi-functional halls (the Golden Osmanthus Hall and the Chinese Hibiscus Hall), 18 exhibition halls of various specifications (the largest one covers 15,810 square meters while the smallest one covers 2,160 square meters), 18 conference rooms of different sizes, as well as a Press Center, Tourist Center, China-ASEAN Expo Experience Hall and other supporting venues. The indoor exhibition area reaches 92,000 square meters, which can accommodate 5,529 international standard booths.
Gathering connections from all directions and showcasing the splendor of the world, the zone takes the culture of the China-ASEAN Expo as its core, integrates leisure tourism and business exhibition tourism, and strives to build a themed scenic spot featuring an “Everlasting Expo.”
